Vision Statement
HAVE YOUR OWN SAY!
We believe in the power of the individual.

if our role is to ENGAGE, the students' role is to hop on for the ride to educational enlightenment.

if our role is to SUPPORT, the students' role is to work out what makes them tick, what they want from this life.

if our role is to TEACH and ASSESS, the students' role is to put their heart into their labour, submitting work that they are proud of.

TOGETHER we will journey to the stars and beyond.

[If you had your own class what would you do... ]

I would pretty much ask them at the beginning of the year what they actually hope to achieve in the class. For scripture, I ask what they want to learn about in a simple sentence without using the word, 'God, Jesus or love' As that way it stops them from saying what I want to hear and they actually tell the truth. Once in a class I would have heaps and heaps of things for them to do or study. If they have two seconds without having something to do then they go mental and it is hard to teach them anything.
my say is complete.

Well, I can't be certain as to my approach until I'm faced with said situation.

Hopefully I'll live in an ideal world and I'll be able to break down otherwise difficult concepts into a language that can be understood and ultimately share my own love and joy of science with those seeking to learn it (whether they knew they were seeking it or not).

I'd love it if teachers would listen to us more!
